Welcome to use Uliya! UGREEN (hereinafter referred to as “UGREEN” or “we”) thanks you for your trust in us when providing your personal information to us. This Policy is designed to help you fully understand how we collect, use, share, store and protect your personal information during your use of Uliya products and services, so as to facilitate your informed choices.
Before you start using our products and services, be sure to carefully read and understand the content of this Policy (especially the content marked in bold), and make sure you fully understand and agree to the content before use.
In addition to this Policy, in specific scenarios, we will also inform you of the purpose and scope of information collection and the usage of information collected through immediate notifications (including pop-up windows, page prompts, etc.) and functional update explanations. These immediate notifications and functional update explanations form part of this Policy and have the same effect as this Policy. This Policy is a supplementary privacy policy for Uliya's functions. To avoid repetition with the “UGREEN NAS Privacy Policy”, this Policy only describes the new or differentiated privacy terms related to AI scenarios. For the content that has not changed and has been fully expounded in the “UGREEN NAS Privacy Policy” (including but not limited to how you exercise your right to manage personal information, the clauses on protection of minors, the update methods of the Policy, etc.), refer to the “UGREEN NAS Privacy Policy” directly. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and the “UGREEN NAS Privacy Policy”, the special instructions for Uliya's functions in this Policy shall prevail.

By agreeing to this Policy, you indicate that you have understood the functions provided by Uliya and the necessary personal information required for the operation of these functions. When you start or use Uliya, we will process relevant information to achieve the functions or services you choose to use, or to comply with the requirements of laws and regulations. Except for the information required to implement the basic functions and services of Uliya and the information necessary in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, you may refuse our processing of other information, but this may result in our inability to provide the corresponding functions and services.

“Uliya” herein means the artificial intelligence-related services provided by UGREEN (AMERICA UGREEN LIMITED, UGREEN GROUP LIMITED, HONG KONG UGREEN LIMITED, UGREEN GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD., UGREEN GROUP GMBH) (hereinafter referred to as “Uliya” or “this Service”).
Except for the information collection and use described in this Policy, this Policy does not apply to other services provided by third parties to you. Other services are subject to the privacy policies and user terms separately explained to you by the third parties.
2. How we collect and use your personal information
We will follow the principles of legality, propriety and necessity to collect and use your personal information that you voluntarily provide during your use of Uliya or that is generated due to your use of Uliya, and that is obtained from third parties with your authorization, for the purposes described in this Policy, in order to meet your needs for using Uliya, communicate with you, improve or optimize our products or services. As our business develops, the products or services we provide may be adjusted and changed. If we need to use your personal information for purposes not specified in this Policy, or use personal information collected for specific purposes for other purposes, unless there is a legal basis or legitimate reason for processing your personal information, we will inform you in a reasonable manner and obtain your consent again before use.
2.1 Collection of your information
2.1.1 Registration and login
Before using the Uliya services, you need to first log in to the UGREEN NAS app through the local account you created. If you decide to enable the UGREENlink function, before remotely connecting to the UGREEN NAS device and using the Uliya services, you need to log in to your registered UGREEN Cloud account. To complete the registration and login of your UGREEN Cloud account, we will collect the basic account information you provide, such as your email address (to verify your identity by receiving verification codes) and optional identity information (such as profile picture and username). Such information is only used to verify your identity, ensure account security, and guarantee that you can access the UGREENlink functions and the Uliya services.
This Service invokes the local model by default. Once you successfully enable our service, you can interact with our AI assistant Uliya through a dialog box. In the scenario of using a local model, your input content is only used in the local device's memory for immediate inference. We will not collect any content you input.
It is worth your attention that this Service may include third-party services, including but not limited to third-party cloud-based AI models, etc. If you need to use this function, the third-party cloud-based model service must first obtain your explicit authorization and consent. If you do not agree, you will not be able to use the third-party cloud-based model service in Uliya. You can independently choose whether to invoke third-party cloud-based model services. If you choose not to connect, you can still use the local AI model that Uliya invokes by default.
If you choose to invoke a third-party cloud-based AI model, we will only forward the content you input to the server of the third-party service provider through UGREEN's servers located in regions such as the United States, Germany or Singapore for processing. For specific details on cross-border data transfers, refer to Section 7 of this Policy, “How your personal information is transferred globally”. The content you input will be processed in accordance with the terms of service and privacy policy of the corresponding third party. UGREEN will not not participate in, control, or modify any part of this processing activity..
3. The use of cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies such as device information identifiers are widely used on the Internet. When you use Uliya, we may use relevant technologies to send one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device to collect and identify information about your access and use of this product. We promise that cookies will not be used for any purpose other than those described in this Policy. We use cookies and similar technologies mainly to facilitate your use of our products and services, ensure the security and efficient operation of products and services, improve login and response speeds, and help you have a more relaxed access experience, etc. If you use the web version of Uliya, most browsers provide users with the function of clearing browser cache. You can clear cookies in the browser settings. However, after clearing them, you may not be able to use the functions or services provided by us that rely on cookies.
4. How we store and protect your personal information
4.1 Retention period
During your use of this Service, we will retain your personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy. If you need to delete your personal information, you can contact us through the contact information provided in Section 8 of this Policy. In addition, except as explicitly stipulated by laws and regulations, we will delete or anonymize your personal information after the expiration of the above-mentioned retention period.
The criteria used to determine our retention period are as follows:
1. The duration of our ongoing relationship with you and the period during which we provide Uliya and related services to you (for example, the time during which you have a UGREEN Cloud account or continue using Uliya);
2. Whether the account owner modifies information or whether its users delete information through their accounts;
3. Whether we have a legal obligation to retain your data (for example, some laws require us to keep your transaction records for a certain period before deleting them); or, from our legal perspective, whether it is recommended to retain your data (for example, in relation to the enforcement of our agreements, dispute resolution, period for exercising rights, litigation or regulatory investigations).
4.2 Security measures
We attach great importance to your information security and promise not only to follow current information security standards, but also to strive to ensure that our security measures are at the forefront of the industry. To ensure the security of your information, we have adopted a series of advanced security technologies, including but not limited to desensitizing your input content, using https encrypted transfer, secure storage, firewall protection, and regular security vulnerability scans.
In addition to these technical means, we have also implemented a corresponding management system to enhance the security of information, ensuring that our employees receive data protection training, and that all data processing and storage procedures have been strictly reviewed and improved. We fully recognize that no system can be completely flawless. Therefore, we are constantly committed to identifying and managing potential risks, and taking preventive measures to reduce the risk of leakage, damage, misuse, unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, and alteration of your information. In the event of an unfortunate security incident, we have clear procedures and response mechanisms in place to handle these issues, including promptly notifying affected users, fixing security vulnerabilities, and taking measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

5. Third-party AI models and service providers
5.1 Local environment
To provide you with functions such as AI-generated responses, we have integrated and run the following third-party open-source AI models in the local environment. All these models operate in a local inference mode, and the information you input will not be uploaded to the model providers.

5.2 Cloud environment
To provide you with stable, secure and continuously optimized AI services, we have integrated cloud AI model services provided by third parties. We will only invoke the service when you actively choose to use a cloud-based model, and, in accordance with the model’s operational requirements, we will forward the input content you submit (such as text, images or files) to the corresponding third party. The version of the cloud-based AI model we integrate may be updated or replaced as their underlying technologies evolve.

6. How we share or disclose your personal information
We may share or disclose your information in the following circumstances:
We may share information with our affiliated companies or other entities within the enterprise group for internal management or support, and for the legitimate needs of business operations and the purpose of providing services to you.
6.2 Third-party service providers
Uliya includes APIs for third-party cloud-based AI models. If you invoke a third-party cloud-based AI model, we will forward your input content to the servers of third-party service providers through our servers located in regions such as the United States, Germany, or Singapore for processing. The system will automatically allocate the best server for you based on your country/region. The collection, storage, use and other processing of these data are independently handled by the corresponding third-party service providers. We will conduct security tests and evaluations on third-party services and strictly abide by relevant laws, regulations and regulatory requirements to protect data security. To ensure the security of your information to the greatest extent, we strongly recommend that you review and fully understand the privacy policies of any third-party services before using them. Third parties will independently assume relevant obligations and responsibilities for your personal information in accordance with their privacy policies and personal information protection policies. If you find any risks in third-party services, we suggest you immediately terminate the relevant operations and contact us in a timely manner.
7. How your personal information is transferred globally
When you use Uliya services, your data may be transferred to countries or regions outside your geographical location. For such cross-border transfers, we will adopt the corresponding data transfer mechanisms in accordance with applicable laws, including but not limited to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US data privacy framework, other applicable sufficiency decisions or legal authorization mechanisms.
The cross-border transfer of your data may vary depending on usage scenarios, as detailed below:
7.1 When you choose to use a third-party cloud-based AI model service
To forward your input content to the corresponding third-party AI model for processing, we will use the servers deployed by UGREEN in the United States, Germany or Singapore for data relay. We will select the best server for forwarding information based on the principle of proximity. Your input content will be processed on the servers of third-party model service providers in accordance with their privacy policies and terms of service.
7.2 When you remotely access UGREEN NAS device via the UGREENlink function and use Uliya (including local/cloud-based AI models)
When you use UGREENlink to remotely access UGREEN NAS device and use Uliya services, in addition to the cross-border transfer that may occur due to the use of Uliya as described in Section 7.1 of this Policy, the UGREENlink function itself may also transfer your personal information to countries or regions other than your geographical location for the purpose of achieving remote connection. For details, refer to the “UGREEN NAS Privacy Policy”.
