UGREEN NAS Software and UGOS Pro FAQs
UGOS Pro is the operating system that runs UGREEN NASync devices. It provides the web interface, storage management, user permissions, app management, remote access, media tools, Docker, virtual machines, and backup features. For a full system overview, visit UGOS Pro.
UGREEN NAS apps vary by model. Common UGOS Pro features include file management, storage management, backup and sync, photos, video, music, DLNA, and system tools. Advanced features such as Docker and virtual machines depend on the NAS model.
The UGREEN NAS App Center is where you install and manage software inside UGOS Pro. Use it for built-in apps and supported NAS services such as Docker, media tools, backup tools, and system utilities. If you only need the phone, desktop, or TV client, use App Downloads instead.
Yes. UGREEN NAS supports common file access methods, including browser access and network file-sharing protocols. Use these when you want to access files from Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile devices, or compatible apps. For connection issues, read fix the “No Device Found” error.
Yes. UGOS Pro includes media apps for photos, video, music, and DLNA access. Use Photos for image organization, Theater for video libraries, Music for audio collections, and DLNA for compatible media playback. For advanced streaming setups, see the Plex NAS setup guide.
No. Docker support depends on the UGREEN NAS model. The NASync DH2300 does not currently have official Docker support. If Docker apps are important to you, check the Product Specification Comparison before choosing a model, then follow Docker and Docker Compose Explained for UGREEN NAS Users for setup guidance on supported models.
All models in the NASync DXP series support virtual machines through Virtual Machine Manager, including DXP2800, DXP4800, DXP4800 Plus, DXP6800 Pro, DXP8800 Plus, and DXP480T Plus. The NASync DH series is designed for entry-level home use and does not support virtual machines — the DH2300 supports neither Docker nor VMs, while the DH4300 Plus supports Docker but not virtual machines.
VM performance scales with CPU and RAM. For setup steps, see our guide on running virtual machines on UGREEN NAS.
